Seatoller, Lake District

A few reminders of our weekend

- Charlie "New Shoes" Grant
- Simon "New Boots" Piercy
- Tim "Park Run" Spate

Friday

"Now That's What I Call Simon's Music Quiz (Reprised, again)" - Tim manages to beat Simon at his own game, literally!

There's snow on them there hills!

We had set off early to get a walk in on the Friday afternoon - Cat Bells

The Usual Suspects

Derwentwater

Not real ice cream weather on the way down

Back in Keswick, time to do the shopping, have a pint and head to the cottage ...

Saturday

Tim normally runs a 5K 'Park Run' on a Saturday morning - so, on the promise of a breakfast bun, Simon and Charlie get up early to take Tim to the Keswick Park Run

According to Simon's offical time-keeping, Tim was under the 20 minute mark!

Latrigg

Lost Property

Litlle Nellie? (sorry, Simon, but it's a James Bond reference)

The Usual Suspects

Managed forest

Back in Keswick it was time for Simon to buy some new boots ...

Then it was time for some beers and football - the Manchester derby - United come from 2 behind to beat City

Later on it was back to the cottage before heading out to the local for the evening

Sunday

With no breakfast chef present it was all hands to the pumps ...

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Off we go to Keswick (well, almost!) ...

New footware

Simon decides that with the grip of his new boots he doesn't need to hold on to the chain anymore

Flower boots

Camping pods

Geocache

It's amazing how calm, relaxed and friendly the sheep are when Pete's not with us ...

Simon braves the stepping stones alone in seach of another geocache ...

... but returns without success

Tea break

Shallow waters

Not many of these left

Spring lambs

Calm contemplation

Derwentwater Launch

Piercy Pot Noodle Pic

Mr. & Mrs.

The boys can't resist a large pair ...

Llamas or alpacas?

Woodworking

Time for a pint at the Derwentwater Hotel in Portinscale

Friendly feline resident

"Get in the hole!"

Time to get the bus back to Seatoller

Then later it was off to The Langstrath in Stonethwaite for a cracking meal

Monday

The top room fly count was one of the lowest on record ...

We enjoy some of the best weather all weekend

... before heading home

And finally ...
